What Strawberry Watermelon Ice tastes like

The inhale is ripe strawberry, the middle of the draw picks up the watery, faintly green character of real watermelon, and the exhale finishes with ice. What stops it becoming a sugar hit is the cold finish and the 5% nicotine salt, which keeps the throat hit present so the fruit reads as fruit. It is a good all-day flavour: sweet enough to be satisfying, cold enough to stay comfortable. It is a warm-flavoured profile in a device that feels cold to hold, which is a slightly strange combination that works.

How the GROO MAX 10000 holds up day to day

The body is stainless steel instead of the usual plastic shell, which is why it survives a bag or a glove box. The oil tank is transparent, so you can see how much is left rather than finding out mid-puff, and it is not a device that asks you to fuss over anything.

Who the GROO MAX 10000 PUFFS Strawberry Watermelon Ice suits

• Anyone who wants strawberry watermelon ice and has been disappointed by what passes for it in other devices.
• Vapers who would rather buy a device they will finish than one they will replace early.
• Vapers who work outdoors or travel, and anyone who has cracked a plastic-bodied disposable before.
• First-time buyers who want something simple: you draw from the mouthpiece, because there is no button and there is nothing to set up.

How to use the GROO MAX 10000 PUFFS Strawberry Watermelon Ice

1. Open the box and take it out. It arrives filled, so there is nothing to prepare.
2. Draw slowly through the mouthpiece rather than taking a hard pull. Most of the flavour is in the middle of the draw.
3. Keep an eye on the display or the tank window, and finish the device rather than pushing it past the end of the juice.
